Impact Play and Corporal Punishment

Impact play in BDSM involves a Dominant partner striking of the body of a submissive. Impact play includes hand spanking, and also can be done with toys such as flogging, paddling, whipping, or caning.

It can cause a range of physical sensations, from pleasurable to painful, or often both! The endorphins released in response to the pain can create a rush of pleasure and a sense of euphoria. Many people find being on the receiving end of an impact play scene to be a cathartic, stress-relieving, or even relaxing experience.

For others, the appeal may be more in the psychological elements. Impact play can be used to reinforce power dynamics, and plays well themes such as humiliation, discipline, or control. Many use impact play as a form of corporal punishment.

Corporal Punishment within a BDSM context is the use of physical discipline or chastisement as a form of punishment or training. It involves administering physical pain in response to a perceived transgression or for behavior modification. While this most commonly involves impact play, there are other ways to inflict pain as a punishment, and impact play can be done in other contexts besides a form of punishment.

Impact play was my first love in kink many years ago (ask my origin story when we meet in person!), and is still one of my favorite activities today. Aching to be spanked or whipped? Click here to book a Femdom impact play and corporal punishment session with me!
